SpurUp: Sustainable
Peri-Urban framework for Climate Neutral development

Transforming Europe's peri-urban regions: the road to climate neutrality

The SpurUp Project brings together a consortium of 34 partners from 11 EU countries – uniting universities, tech providers, industries, and NGOs.

Together, the team will work to create resilient, climate-neutral peri-urban regions that enhance both sustainability  and community well-being. By integrating net-zero technologies and fostering participatory governance, SpurUp will address the complex challenges of fragmented governance and environmental pressure.

Through the establishment of Local Green Deals (LGDs), the project will unite public and private sectors to reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, and promote long-term social equity.
